WHAT A WEEK! Hello everybody I hope your week has been amazing! This week has been absolutely crazy busy! The craziest it’s ever been for me!
To start off this week we got to go to a Mission Leadership Council. MLC is for all of the STLs and ZLs in the mission, it also includes President and Sister Maxwell of course. In this mission leadership council we discuss the needs and the goals for the next month in the entire mission. We decided to strive for 40 baptisms! Huge! The energy that was there was indescribable. Such an exciting time to be in this mission and to be apart of this big decision. After MLC we take it to a zone level. We plan and then have a council with all of the other leaders. That was also an amazing meeting. THE MOMENT I HAVE BEEN DREADING….Zone council! From the moment I was asked to be an STL I knew I would have to give a big training at our zone council (to all the missionaries in this zone). I was nervous! A ton of planning and prayer took place this week and we were able to give a special training. I wasn’t nervous when I began, I know that God helped me through it. It was an inspired message for the missionaries in this Zone. They told us how much they needed to hear what we said. This was a great learning opportunity for me. Trust in God and he will qualify you. I spent countless hours in meetings and even more planning for the next meeting but I made it.
Exchanges! You’d think that all of these councils would be enough right? NOPE! I got to do my first Exchange as the STL. I went to Emmett with a sister named Sister Knepp. I had an amazing time with her. I was able to help Sister Knepp with her missionary efforts and together we found a friend to teach! The main thing I learned this week is how much I love these sisters. They were struggling and we were able to help them and to teach them in real and fun ways. Such an amazing opportunity
Lastly, on Sunday I was able to share with 4 groups of youth my testimony and why I am on a mission. I had the thought, why do you stay on a mission? I realized the pure joy I feel when I testify of my Savior Jesus Christ. That is why I stay. I stay because I get to see the Atonement work in people’s lives and I see their life change through Christ. Missions are hard but they are so worth it!
This week Sister Jackson and I found 2 people to teach and a lot more potential people. We hope to find 3 of them this week! The work here in Star is hard but it is rewarding. We work very hard and we work well together. Our Heavenly Father magnifies our efforts. He was with me this week. I was simply exhausted but I was able to keep going. He strengthened me this week. I know that he will strengthen you too. Turn to him. Love you all so much. Have a great week.
