Hello everyone! This week has been a roller-coaster! We have had some super high highs and some lower moments. That being said I’m still so grateful to be here in Star. This area is so wonderful. I have seen the most growth in myself in Star and I have seen the most growth in an area in Star.
God is so aware of all of us. I’d love to share some miracles with all of you! Number one is… We found 4 new people who are wanting to learn more about the gospel.
I have a sweet member I just adore, her name is Sister Woodard she took us out on visits one night and we saw a lot of success. Every single one of the people we went to answered the door. We went to one person’s house and they were so kind! They were marked uninterested because missionaries hadn’t visited them in over 6 months. They just appeared before us in our area book and we felt good about it. God put them in front of us! We will now be teaching them this week!
NO TIME! One of the reasons this week has been rough is because we had no time! We had an amazing Mission Leadership Council and have a goal of 40 baptisms this month. We then had an awesome planning meeting with the Zone Leaders and presented a Zone training the next day. Lastly we then had a district leader council we had to plan for and give. The training went well. God qualifies his people! He literally carried me this week. I was asked to give a talk in sacrament meeting and was stressed out because we had no time to prepare. I was able to plan an outline of my talk and pray it would go well. I was beyond nervous! This was a miracle talk! It went SO well. I was able to give my first talk without word for word things to say. I have NEVER had so many compliments afterward too. It was a huge tender mercy for me and was a bit emotional to be honest. WHAT A MIRACLE!
A few more miracles happened as we taught out friends. The lessons that we felt were a struggle went perfectly. Milke, my bald guy guitar teacher friend, had a very spiritual experience as we taught him the Atonement. How blessed are we to know that God feels our pain!? Another special moment this week would have to be when we put Aurora on DATE to be baptized! She is so cute. My favorite teaching moment this week was when I taught a family( the dad Don) about the sacrament and its power. He looked at us with an open jaw and said YES! He also then said how is the Book of Mormon not real?! It had to be!? It’s in the small moments where I rejoice the most.
Love you all! Always remember to read the Book of Mormon so you can have the same experience as my friends are having.
