Holy cow this week has gone by so fast! There has been so much that has been happening! I love you all very much and I am so grateful for your constant love and support! Thank you to all of you who send me emails and texts, they always make my day. Sorry I don’t have time to always respond to all of them.
To start off the week we had Zone conference! I always look forward to Zone conference because we get to hear from our mission president. President Maxwell and sister Maxwell are so filled with the spirit and always know what we need to hear. I also look forward to Zone conference because we get to see a lot of missionaries, it’s always fun to be reunited. Sister Oliphant always makes my day! This Zone conference was focused on the Book of Mormon. It was very spiritual and very powerful. President shared with us the miracle in the coming forth of the Book of Mormon. There is no doubt in my mind that the Book of Mormon isn’t true. I know and I have a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. In the middle of the conference, president got up and I knew I would be sharing my testimony. He called my name and I was so nervous. I was confident in my testimony of the Book of Mormon though. I shared a scripture on strength. I know that the Book of Mormon provides us strength. Russell M Nelson, our prophet, asks us what we would not have without the Book of Mormon? I asked the same question to the mission. I’m going to ask you the same question. The Book of Mormon is a miracle and I’m so grateful for it. To end zone conference we got new tewi’s. They are little robots that go in our car to help us be safe. It took a very long time to install them and so we stayed there and did our studies. One elder came up to us and said he was grateful for our example. It was so special to be a part of that moment.
This was a crazy week because we had two exchanges! Because of plans that fell through with our lead sister training leaders it caused us to have them back to back. My first exchange was with sister Passarella in Nampa. We had six lessons that day! I was completely exhausted to say the least. Sister Passarella is the kindest, most loving girl ever. I learned that Heavenly Father simply asks us to do our best and that is enough. My second exchange was with one of my sisters, sister Woodhouse. I went with her in Eagle. I did not know if I was going to make it because I was SO drained. God gave me strength, I know that!! This area is a biking area and so I had the opportunity to ride! Just this week I was feeling quite overwhelmed with the amount of things I have to do for my zone. With zone conference and exchanges there was just not enough time to complete all the tasks. I just needed a moment and I didn’t think I was going to get one because I was there to help sister Woodhouse. When we were riding home from a very long day we were riding in the dark. We had our lights on and we were on a little bike path near the road but there were no cars. There were trees, there was water and there was wind. God gave me exactly what I needed. I needed that moment to be on a bike, to breathe fresh air and to have a moment for me. Tears just rolled down my face as I rode home. I know that God was so aware of me and he allowed me to be in Eagle with sister Woodhouse because he knew I would need it. It’s in the small moments that matter the most.
Some highlights!
Heather!! Last week I shared with you how we were able to talk with Heather! Well the lesson went awesome. Heather is the most elect person ever. As she explained why she wants to meet with us she bore the most pure testimony ever. She is simply ready to receive the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so excited to be a part of her journey! I hope and I pray that we will be able to put her on date next week! She is that ready!
Zone leadership!! As a zone leadership we have been doing weekly challenges to help our zone find joy in the work. Our awesome zone leaders decided to make it fun by sending out a video. So of course we had to respond in a fun way! I sure make a fool out of myself for the missionaries in the zone LOL. This week we were able to make a funny video for them as well. It’s been a lot of fun!
Lunch with a friend! I had a nice surprise this week! Charity Overly took me out to lunch! She was here visiting her family and just so happened to be in the area that I am in. She’s so kindly came and made our week!
P-day! Today we are able to go down to a park with some other missionaries and have fun. I decided that it was a brilliant idea to go and run through a splash pad. It’s in these small moments where I love life the most. God loves us so much and provides us with these special moments. I love you all very much and I hope that you have a good week. Know that I know that when you are struggling and when you feel like you’re drowning that God is there with you the whole time. He will physically lift our burdens and make them light. I experienced this this week. Love you all xoxo
