It finally feels like WINTER! This week went by really fast! I can’t believe I am already writing to you. This week was another missionary week.
To start off the week my sweet companion had a special moment with me. We went really hard one day! At night she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, “Sister Howick I get it.” She then expressed to me how missionary work finally clicked for her. She told me I was her first companion who fully immersed her into the work. I was so grateful I got to be there and show her what I have learned.
2 Friends! This week I saw a miracle as a zone leader. We have counseled together to help our zone find friends. Last week we decided to make it a district level challenge. We then in our own individual chats hyped up the other missionaries. I have been studying the attribute of hope and have been applying it into my missionary work. I have been truly relying and expecting miracles from God. We found 2 new people this week and our district found 7! It was really cool to see the miracles play out in each of our areas this week.
Exchanges! I got to go to Eagle with sister Hatch on an exchange. Oh my goodness she is absolutely amazing! She is a greenie and she reminds me of myself. I was prompted to share some scriptures with her. It was very special to see how much it meant to her. I have a testimony that the spirit can and does work through us!
Aurora! On Saturday the 10th Aurora turned 15. All she wanted to do was go to the temple for her birthday. She has been waiting years for this moment! We got to go with her! Ahh it was a SPECIAL moment. She just beamed even though it was bitter cold because of the wind and we were freezing. It was special to see her in the temple for the 1st time and teach her all about it.
Light the world! We have been doing countless messages with members! Member work is a lot of fun. We have been focusing on light the world and have been apart of amazing things. I love being a missionary at this time of year because I really get to dive into the true meaning of Christmas. I know we all have the light of Christ in us! Let’s share it! I encourage you if you haven’t already to join in.
A BIG thank you to all of you who have sent a letter to me for my birthday this week. I haven’t opened any of them yet! Can’t wait until tomorrow. I love you and appreciate how you all make these moments special for me. Have a wonderful week. You are always in my prayers!!
