1 Year! Wow I can not believe this! The last two weeks have been overall a super awesome week with lots of adventures. I claim Sister Palmer my most adventures companion yet. She is so down to do pretty much anything! We work super super hard together and are seeing the fruits of our labor already. Lots and lots of miracles!
HIGHLIGHT of the last two WEEKS! God’s timing is so real! Madi Madi is a 18 year old girl we found last week. Little did we know how elect and ready she is. Her member friends, including her missionary boyfriend, have been teaching her for a long time. She has been coming to church for 6 months now! She is studying the Book of Mormon everyday and is in the book of Alma! She has already thought about being baptized. When we teach her she basically teaches us, she has been that invested in learning. She said this is my thing and that’s why I waited for my boyfriend to be gone so I did it for me and not him. I feel like I just found my long lost friend. We had to know each other in heaven! She doesn’t feel like an investigator to me because we just connected that well. I feel strongly that God’s timing was key in her story. She is soooo amazing! We don’t know what to invite her to do because she’s already doing it! I pray I will be here for her big baptism day, it’s gonna be soon.
STL life! Poor sister Palmer walked into a tough situation we as STLs had to take care of. It really took a toll on us for the day it happened. I’m so grateful that we have God on our side every step of the way. I’m so grateful for the power of prayer and for the power of charity. I know that when we love others like God loves us all will work out. It’s been a powerful lesson for me to develop.
EXCHANGES! This last week we went on two exchangesโฆ we were exhausted after! It’s always an amazing time to learn from other missionaries. It feels like an extended sleepover!
Why I BELIEVE. Yesterday we had an amazing opportunity to take Madi to a why I believe devotional put on by our mission. President Maxwell bore a very powerful testimony on the Book of Mormon. There were 3 African converts that were baptized on Christmas Eve that also bore a very powerful yet simple testimony. One of the translators got up to pray and said ” can I please have a few minutes?” She then bore THE MOST PASSIONATE testimony I have ever heard. It was pure and it was beautiful. Then she began the most beautiful prayer! She prayed with her whole soul! She was almost yelling over the pulpit but in a beautiful way! Madi had tears in her eyes as she thanked us for the spirit she felt.
Lastly! I found a friend over Facebook this week! His name is Justin. Sometimes Facebook work is sooooo hard but every once in a while it pays off!
