The last 7 weeks of my mission have gone by so fast! It makes me kind of sad if I’m being really honest. This last week we had departures and arrivals. It is always such a fun week! I LOVE hearing their testimonies and their experiences as a missionary and seeing the excitement of the new missionaries! This time we got to take the one and only sister around with us until she met her trainer! When the new missionaries arrived here we got to take them through all of their orientation and give them a spiritual boost. Then we got to end the day with eating at President and Sister Maxwell’s house.
TRANSFER planning! This week was a planning week. As I reflected on what we did this week I honestly couldn’t remember what even happened. Then I remembered that it was the first week of the transfer. A lot of preparation goes into each transfer… it is kinda hard to fit it all in sometimes!
The Living Christ Event. The Meridian Stake puts on this outstanding event each year for the few weeks leading up to easter. I thought it would be this nice little program in the gym BUT NO! It was UNREAL. We were asked by our mission president to be the missionaries that were there to answer questions and talk to all of the non-member friends. When we walked into the gym the lighting was nice and there was a Christus statue and big beautiful panels describing the week leading up to Easter Sunday. I was blown away!
Our friends are still progressing quite well! We hope to put a few of them on date to be baptized in the next few weeks! We found a YSA aged guy named Thomas this week. We had a very powerful 1st lesson with him. He has a sincere desire to learn more. The next day we got to watch the General Conference with him. I have such a testimony that God prepares his people and that so many are searching for truth they just don’t know where to find it. What an honor it is for us as members to be able to give that to them.
Wasn’t General Conference Amazing?! The phrase I often find myself going back to is Satatn is the master of complexity. This general conference bore that same witness to me because of how simply we were taught. President Russell M. Nelson’s words were so simple but yet so important! I love you all so much! Hope you have the best week!
