This was definitely a week to remember! To start off the week we had a progress meeting and a staff meeting! We always have so much fun being around the new missionaries! They have so much light and so much life to them! Staff meeting is a little less fun lol
we have to figure out a lot of the logistical side of things such as housing, areas and cars. It’s like a big brain game. I never realized how much really goes into making a mission run. I’m so grateful to be a part of it!
The Pulus- The Pulus are the family we have been teaching for the last month or so! Kezzni and Kohen are the boys names. Their parents are members but haven’t been active for a very long time. This gospel truly does bless families! We have seen such a huge difference in this family. We had such a powerful lesson with them on Wednesday and put them on date for baptism, April 29th! This day can’t come soon enough! When we saw them at church Kezzni and I did out secret handshake and their little sister Kamilla who is 5 years old bulldozed me with a massive hug… I about fell over lol. I love this family so much!
JIMMY- Jimmy is the definition of being in the right place at the right time! We were visiting at our friend Eli’s doorstep when Jimmy came trudging down the stairs to cuss out Eli. Apparently Eli was not being a very good neighbor and Jimmy was not happy about it. As soon as we turned around so he could see our tags his whole countenance changed and he sincerely apologized. We are now teaching Jimmy! We had a powerful lesson with him this week and he through tears in his eyes told us this is what he needs. He has such a desire to change! I can not wait to see the atonement of Jesus Christ work through him. He was apart of a gang in the past and has been in jail. He now is a dad and loves him more than anything. He also just saw his best friend convert to the church. He said I have never seen my friend so happy.
LAURIE AND TREVIN- Lauire is our new recent convert Kassies mom and Trevin is her brother. They both came to Kassies baptism and felt the spirit so strongly that we have been teaching both of them! Trevin has fully embraced this gospel and we can see the difference in the way he carries himself. He has so much light in his eyes. It’s crazy to see. Every time we see him he thanks us for changing his life. His mom Laurie has also been changed by the atonement of Jesus Christ. She told us that she often finds herself blasting the song ‘There is Peace in Christ’ 🙂 We invited the elders who cover their home ward to teach them with us and it has been amazing! We put them both on date to be baptized for May 20th!
What a special week! We also got to enjoy a super fun exchange with our Meridian STLs. Love you all! Hope you have a good week!
Pictures!
